Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson was walking around without a limp on Sunday, despite tweaking his groin earlier in the week. Johnson’s MRI revealed just a “mild strain” and he’s expected to miss about a “week or so.”
“It just tightened up on me,” said Johnson, via the Associated Press. “I had hit the ground pretty hard, stretching out for a ball. That was pretty much it.”
Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson wound up tweaking his groin during a 1-on-1 drill this morning, according to Steph Stradley.
Texans head coach Gary Kubiak mentioned that he’s really “not too concerned” about the injury as Johnson is expected to recovered in just a few days.
Johnson, 31, wound up missing 12 games last year, so there’s certain some concerns regarding his overall ability to stay healthy. He suffered multiple hamstring injuries last year, so this is hardly the type of thing you want to hear so early into the training camp. When healthy, he’s clearly a huge weapon for a very talented Texans squad.
