Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that QB Andy Dalton returned to the practice field on Thursday one day after a hospital visit due to a battle with the flu.
“I feel great. It was a tough day yesterday, but I feel a lot better than I did. I’ll be out there practicing and be ready to go,” Dalton said. “It was just a one-day thing. It was kind of out of nowhere. But I feel good now, so that’s a good thing.”
Certainly misses a day of practice leading up to a playoff game isn’t ideal but Dalton mentioned that he’s aware of the teams game-plan.
“I’ve watched the film and I know what’s going on,” said Dalton. “Obviously I would’ve liked to have practiced yesterday, but it didn’t happen. I’ll go out there today.”
It will be interesting to see how effective Dalton is on the road against one of the leagues best defensive units this weekend.
