Matt Barrows spoke with Tom Condon, the agent for free agent WR Anquan Boldin, who said that his client is not contemplating retirement and plans to return for the 2016 season.

  • Condon added that he expects Boldin’s market to pick up in the coming weeks.

There hasn’t been any reported interest in Boldin since the market opened over a week ago. However, is among the best receivers still available in the free agent market.

For what it’s worth, the Giants have been tossed out as a speculative landing spot for Boldin.

Boldin, 35, just finished out his two-year, $12 million contract that included $5.5 million guaranteed and is testing the market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Boldin appeared in 14 games for the 49ers and caught 69 passes for 789 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 33 overall receiver out of 119 qualifying players.
