Anthony Barr Could Be A Contingency Option For The Lions

Ian Rapoport suggests UCLA OLB Anthony Barr as a contingency option for the Lions in the event that they don’t trade up for Clemson WR Sammy Watkins.

  • According to Rapoport, the Lions “love” Barr.

The Lions have reportedly been working hard to move up into the top-five and while that remains a possibility, it’s always good to have a backup plan in place in case things don’t go according to your initial plans.

Then again, it probably doesn’t hurt to leak info to the media a few hours before you’re on the clock either.

Detroit took Ziggy Ansah last year, but defensive line has been a hallmark of their team for a few years now.

We have the Lions trading up to No. 5 overall with the Raiders and taking Watkins in our final 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
