Arian Foster Expected To Work Out For NFL Teams In Late July

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the sense right now is free agent RB Arian Foster (Achilles) will work out for NFL teams at some point in late July.

According to Schefter, Foster would probably be able to pass a physical right now, but waiting another six weeks or so would obviously help to ensure he’s physically ready to go.

This fits with what Foster previously told ABC13.com, which is that he would likely need another month to get back to his prior form.

“I probably need another month to get where I am, the person everyone is use to seeing,” Foster said. “I can definitely play, but I need another month to be where I want to be and be at that Pro Bowl level I can be at.”

The Dolphins previously brought Foster in for a visit, and have reportedly been monitoring his situation over the past few months.

The Broncos, Redskins, Raiders, Chargers, and Seahawks have all been tossed out as speculative landing spots for Foster once healthy.

Foster, 29, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee back in 2009. He spent seven years with the Texans before they released him in a move that freed up $6,625,000 in cap space for Houston a few months ago.

In 2015, Foster ran for 163 yards on 63 carries (2.6 YPC) to go along with 22 receptions for 227 yards receiving and and three touchdowns.
