Arian Foster’s Chances Of Playing In Week 1

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle writes that he expects RB Arian Foster to be ready for the start of the season despite his hamstring injury.

McClain notes that the Texans are likely to fine Foster for tweeting out his MRI which may also have something to do with the fact that Foster removed the image from his twitter account shortly afterwards.

It’s been a really rough week for Foster as he’s dealt with multiple issues relating to his twitter. Just another reason to be prepared for the consequences that can come from social media.

Houston Texans RB Arian Foster posted an MRI of the hamstring that he re-injured during the teams third preseason game last week but as ESPN’s John Clayton notes, he has a tear.

Clayton adds that ESPN’s Dr. Michael Kaplin believes that there’s a chance that Foster could actually be out for three to four weeks with his current injury. Clayton notes that Foster has been jogging lightly for the last few days.

And that’s probably why we don’t see more players posting their MRI’s on the internet. Foster has since said that he posted it “to make fun of the whole situation” but it may have made things worse as now we have a number of people offering their take on his injury.

Even if Foster is able to return for week one, this is a situation that could bother him throughout the season as his hamstring has been injured twice in the last month.
