Arian Foster Out For Sunday’s Game

ESPN’s John Clayton reports that the Houston Texans are unlikely to have RB Arian Foster for Sunday’s game against the Colts.

It’s still looking like he’s not going to be able to go,” Clayton said. “… Still looking like a 3-4 week injury.”

Foster has been dealing with a hamstring injury that he re-injured during the teams third preseason game and if Clayton’s projection is accurate, they could be without him for an extended period of time.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the “signs now point to” the Texans playing Derrick Ward and Ben Tate in Sunday’s game.

We mentioned earlier in the week that the Texans would be wise to sit Foster until he’s ready to contribute at 100%. It’s a long season and having your best players for healthy rather than risking a serious injury makes plenty of sense for team with as much to lose as Houston has.
