Arizona A Fit For Carson Palmer?

Last we wrote in regards to Carson Palmer, it was looking like retirement was the most likely option considering that the Cincinnati Bengals refuse to trade him. Well, a few NFL analysts see Arizona as the best fit for him if he and the Bengals change their minds.

Former Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner told the hosts of “Chuck and Vince Live” on AM 1060 in Phoenix that Palmer “would be tremendous” in Arizonas’ offensive system.

NFL Network analyst Pat Kirwan also mentioned that Cardinals would be wise to consider trading for Palmer if he becomes available during a chat session on NFL.com.

The best fit for the Cardinals would be Palmer,” writes Kirwan. “There’s no denying his talent and experience. If you’re looking to duplicate some of the things you did with Kurt Warner, he’s your best choice.

There has been so much speculation regarding both Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals quarterback position that it’s hard to gauge what either team is really thinking. As of now it would appear that the Cardinals will go after Kevin Kolb but keep Marc Bulger as their contingency plan if trade talks fall apart.

As for the Palmer and the Bengals, you would have to think that retirement is the most likely scenario as of now because there haven’t been any creditable reports suggesting that he intends on playing next year. I would expect this to change once a CBA agreement is in place and his options become clearer.
