“At least Five” Teams Interested In Having Norv Turner Run Their Offense?

Kevin Acee of Union-Tribune San Diego tweets that current Chargers head coach Norv Turner will have “his pick of  at least five” offensive coordinator jobs once he’s fired.

Acee specifically mentions that Jets could have interest in bringing in Turner to run their offense, but adds that “he will not end up in New York.”

It’s been suggested for awhile now that if Turner was available, he would find work as an offensive coordinator almost immediate. He’s widely regarded as one of the leagues best play-callers, but this strengths hasn’t translated into much success as a head coach. It seems like there really is something to the idea that certain coaches are better suited to be effective coordinators than head coaches.
