Cardinals RB Beanie Wells told reporters that there’s “no doubt” he will be back in time for the team’s Week 12 matchup against the St Louis Rams, via AzCardinals.com.
Wells was placed on IR with the designation to return and could return to practice as soon as Wednesday. Arizona has their bye this weekend and considering that Wells will not be available for Week 11, La’Rod Stephens-Howling figures to be their No. 1 running back for another week.
The Cardinals could really use some additional help at running back. That fact that Wells was expected to be back later in the season, most likely persuaded them to not pursue one of the available options in the trade market.
