Bears Re-Sign OL Eben Britton, Cut WR Michael Spurlock

The Chicago Bears announced that they have re-signed OL Eben Britton and released WR Micheal Spurlock.

Britton, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2009. He signed a one-year contract with the Bears this past April, but he wound up being released as they cut their roster down to 53 players a little over a week ago.

Last year, Britton appeared in 13 games for the Bears, so they are obviously familial with what he brings to the table. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 239 snaps last season, but they also have him rated as a solid run-blocker.
