Bears & Browns Expected To Pursue Packers S Morgan Burnett

Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com, citing a league source, reports that the Bears and Browns are expected to pursue Packers free agent S Morgan Burnett.

According to Wood‘s source, Burnett’s asking price is over $8.5 million annually. If the market isn’t there for him, Wood mentions that it’s possible the Packers could be in the mix to re-sign him.

Burnett, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Packers back in 2010. He’s played all eight seasons for the Packers and is now in line to be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2017, Burnett appeared in 12 games for the Packers and recorded 68 tackles, no interceptions, a forced fumble and three pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 47 safety out of 87 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100  – 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
