Bears CB Charles Tillman Out For The Season

Chicago Bears HC Marc Trestman told reporters on Monday that veteran CB Charles Tillman will not return at any point this season, per Jeff Dickerson.

“It became apparent over time that he wouldn’t be available,” said Trestman of Tillman.

Chicago placed Tillman on injured reserve with the designation to return back in November with a triceps injury, but it appears as though he has shown very little progress to this point.

Tillman, 32, has been an extremely important member of the Bears defensive success for the better part of a decade. Last year, there was even talk that he could have been the defensive player of the year. However, given his age, the recent injury and the fact that he will be an unrestricted free agent this offseasaon, it appears as though his time in Chicago could be coming to an end.

His 2013 season ends with 33 tackles, three interceptions and seven pass defenses.
