Bears Officially Sign G Kyle Long To Four-Year, $40M Extension With $30M Gtd

The Chicago Bears officially announced that they’ve signed G Kyle Long to a four-year extension on Wednesday.

Ian Rapoport reports that the Bears have signed Pro Bowl G Kyle Long to a  four-year extension worth $40 million with another $30 million guaranteed.

  • According to Rapoport, Long receives at least $23 million fully guaranteed as part of this deal.

Long, 27,  was entering the third year of a four-year, $8,300,952 contract that included a $4,417,056 signing bonus. He was set to earn a base salary of $777,158 for 2016 to go along with $8.821 million in 2017.

In 2015, Long appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and accumulated 1,099 total snaps. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 23 overall tackle out of 77 qualifying players.
