- Dan Wiederer reported earlier in the day that the Bears will be meeting with Rolle on Wednesday, and the expectation is that Chicago will sign him.
All signs have pointed to the Bears beign the favorites to eventually sign Rolle, but there’s still time for another team to enter the picture if they’re motivated.
Rolle, 32, is a former first round pick of the Cardinals. He spent the first four years of his career in Arizona before he signed on with the Giants back in 2010.
Last year, Rolle appeared in all 16 games for the Giants in 2014 and recorded 87 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and eight pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 81 safety out of 87 qualifying players.
