Bears DT Eddie Goldman Expected To Miss 4 Weeks With High Ankle Sprain

Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune reports that Bears DT Eddie Goldman is expected to miss four weeks with a a high left ankle sprain.

The hope right now, according to Campbell, is that Goldman can return for their October 20 game against the Packers.

Goldman, 22, is a former second-round pick of the Bears back in 2015. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $5.686 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

This season, Goldman has recorded seven tackles and a half sack for the Bears. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 9 interior defensive lineman out of 115 qualifying players.
