Bears Signing K Connor Barth To One-Year Deal

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that the Bears are expected to sign veteran K Connor Barth to a contract.

  • Adam Schefter reports that Barth receive a one-year contract from the Bears.

This comes after the news that the Bears cut long-time K Robbie Gould on Sunday.

Barth, 30, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina back in 2008. He spent just over a year in Kansas before he was cut loose.

After a brief stint with the Dolphins, the Buccaneers signed him to a contract back in 2009 and later returned to the team on a two-year deal last season. However, he was released in May.

The Saints signed him to a contract a month later, but he was unfortunately among their roster cuts.

In 2015, Barth appeared in 12 games for the Buccaneers and converted 23 of 28 field goal attempts (82.1 percent) to go along with 25 of 26 extra point tries and 32 touchbacks.
