Bears Sign WR Taylor Gabriel To Four-Year Deal Worth Up To $28M

Andrew Hawkins reports that the Bears are expected to sign free agent WR Taylor Gabriel to a four-year deal.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Taylor Gabriel’s deal with the Bears is a four-year, $26 million contract with $14 million guaranteed. The contract can top out at $28 million with incentives.

Gabriel, 27, wound up signing on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Abilene Christian back in 2014. After two years in Cleveland, he was waived and later claimed off of waivers by the Falcons.

The Falcons brought Gabriel back on a restricted tender last year.

In 2017, Gabriel appeared in all 16 games for the Falcons and caught 33 passes for 378 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also rushed for 49 yards on eight carries. Pro Football Focus has Gabriel rated as the No. 68 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.
