Bears Fear WR Kevin White Out For Season With Broken Collarbone

Dan Graziano of ESPN is reporting that the Bears fear WR Kevin White suffered a broken collarbone that will require season-ending surgery.

  • Ian Rapoport confirms the news and adds that White is likely headed to injured reserve.

Injuries have limited White to appearing in just five games the past three years.

White, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Bears back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $16.563 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $615,000 and $2,693,598 over the final two years of the agreement.

White’s contract includes a fifth-year option for the Bears to pick up next year, but it’s unlikely they’ll do so.

In 2016, White appeared in four games and caught 19 passes for 187 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He added nine rushing yards on a single carry.
