Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bears will host former Falcons RB Jacquizz Rodgers for a visit in the coming days.
Rodgers, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2011. He payed out his four-year, $2,231,000 rookie contract with Atlanta that included $191,000 guaranteed and is now among the best running backs still available in free agency.
In 2014, Rodgers ran for 217 yards on 58 carries (3.7 YPC) to go along with 29 receptions for 173 yards receiving and two total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 17 running back out of 57 qualifying players, due in large part to his effectiveness as a pass-protector.
We have Rodgers listed as the No. 80 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
