Field Yates reports that Bears LB Danny Trevathan‘s two-game suspension for his hit on Packers WR Davante Adams has been reduced to one game on appeal.
Adams was knocked out on the play from a brutal helmet-to-helmet hit from Trevathan and was taken the hospital for further evaluation.
As of now, Adams remains in the concussion protocol, but there’s talk that he may still have a chance to play against he Cowboys this weekend.
Trevathan, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. After four years in Denver, Trevathan signed a four-year, $24.5 million contract that includes $12 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $2 million this year.
So far this season, Trevathan has appeared in all four games and recorded 29 total tackles and one pass defense. ProFootballFocus grades him as the No. 44 overall linebacker out of 86 qualifying players.
