Bears To Make “Major Push” To Sign QB Mike Glennon, CHI His Preferred Landing Spot

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Bears are expected to make a “major push” to sign free agent QB Mike Glennon. In fact, Rapoport says that Chicago is actually Glennon’s preferred landing spot.

Mike Garafolo adds that Glennon will make more than $14 million or so per year.

The Jets have also come up as a team to watch for Glennon but others have downplayed their interest in recent days.

Glennon, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2013. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $3.104 million rookie contract and stands to make a reasonable base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2016, Glennon appeared in two games for the Buccaneers threw for 75 yards while completing 10 of 11 pass attempts to go along with one touchdown and no interceptions.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2017 Free Agents list.
