Chicago Bears MLB Brian Urlacher told the Chicago Tribune that he could have participated in the team’s minicamp, but ultimately chose to play it safe.
“I could have participated in minicamp, but there was no reason to,” said Urlacher. “It was three days of stuff that I’m going to be doing at training camp, so there was no real reason to push it.”
Urlacher’s coming off of tears to both his MCL and PCL, but he doesn’t appear to be overly concerned about his status for the Bear’s upcoming training camp. While he’s starting to get up there in age (34), I’m not going to doubt him until he puts together a truly disappointing season. Until then, I’m not betting against him.
