Mike Garafolo reports that Bears OC Dowell Loggains is in Miami talking to Dolphins coach Adam Gase about a role on his coaching staff.
According to Garafolo, it’s currently unclear what position to two parties are discussing and nothing is considered final as of now.
Speculation surfaced on Monday that Loggains was a candidate to join the Dolphins’ coaching staff so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Loggains, 37, began his NFL coaching career with the Titans as an offensive quality control coordinator back in 2008. He managed to work his way up to offensive coordinator before joining the Browns’ coaching staff in 2014.
After one year with the Browns, Loggains was hired as the Bears QBs coach and eventually promoted to offensive coordinator two years ago.
We’ll have more regarding Loggains and the Dolphins as the news is available.
