Bears OLB Lamarr Houston Out For Season With Torn ACL

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that an MRI on Bears DE Lamarr Houston‘s knee confirmed thathe has a torn ACL.

This, of course, means that Houston’s 2016 season is over and will be placed on injured reserve in the coming days.

Unfortunately, Houston sustained a prior ACL tear back in 2014.

Bears HC John Fox told reporters on Tuesday that OLB Lamarr Houston‘s knee injury appears to be “significant.”

  • Adam Caplan reproted last night that the Bears have scheduled an MRI for Houston today.

The Chicago Bears announced that OLB Lamarr Houston left Monday night’s game against the Eagles with a knee injury.

Houston, 29 is a former second-round pick of the Raiders back in 2010. After four years in Oakland, the Bears signed Houston to a five-year, $35 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed.

Entering tonight’s game, Houston had recorded four tackles and no sacks for the Bears in his season-opener.
