Bears Place Charles Tillman On Injured Reserve With The Designation To Return

The Chicago Bears announced on Monday that CB Charles Tillman suffered triceps injury during Sunday’s loss to the Lions and will subsequently be placed on injured reserve with designation to return.

Tillman can’t rejoin the Bears until eight weeks from now, so their secondary will need to step up without one of their best defensive players.

Tillman, 32, is in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent after the season. It’s hard to say if Chicago will bring him back for another year, considering that CB Tim Jennings and DT Henry Melton are also in position to test the open market.

We have Tillman currently listed as the No. 25 player in our Top 50 – 2014 Free Agents list.
