Bears Place DL Ego Ferguson On Season-Ending I.R.

The Chicago Bears announced Saturday that they’ve placed DL Ego Ferguson on season-ending injured reserve and signed DT Bruce Gaston off of the Packers’ practice squad.

Brad Biggs notes that Ferguson is dealing with a knee injury, which led to him being placed on I.R.

Ferguson, 24, was taken in the second round of last year’s NFL draft. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $4,113,203 rookie contract that included $1,918,384 guaranteed, and will make a base salary of $606,964 for the 2015 season.

Ferguson’s 2015 season ends with him recording three tackles over the course of four games.
