Bears Place OT Gabe Carimi On IR

The Chicago Bears have announced that they have place rookie OT Gabe Carimi on season-ending injured reserve this afternoon.

Carimi suffered a knee injury back in Week 2 and hasn’t been able to recover as fast as the team was hoping which prompted them to place him on I.R. Chicago just recently lost Chris Williams who had playing guard for the season as well so the attention with be turned to the teams offensive line as it was to start the season.

The Bears have done a great job of overcoming issues to their o-line thanks in large part to adjustments that were made by offensive coordinator Mike Martz as well as offensive line coach Mike Tice. It seemed as though the Bears would get Carimi back later in the season but now they’ll have to do their best to remain healthy for the remainder of the regular season.
