Bears Place RB Ka’Deem Carey On I.R., Could Be Waived

Patrick Finley reports that the Bears are placing RB Ka’Deem Carey on the injured reserve list and could waive him with an injury settlement.

Carey, 24, is a former fourth-round pick out of Arizona by the Bears in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was entering the final year of a four-year, $2,663,380 rookie contract and was set to make a base salary of $690,000 this season.

In 2016, Carey appeared in 12 games for the Bears and recorded 32 rushing attempts for 126 yards rushing (3.9 YPC) and no touchdowns, while also gathering five receptions for 55 yards receiving (4.6 YPC).
