Bears Place Veteran OL Manny Ramirez On Reserve/Retired List

The Chicago Bears announced Wednesday that they’ve placed veteran OL Manny Ramirez on the reserve/retired list.

Ramirez, 33, was drafted by the Lions in the fourth-round of the 2007 draft. He spent four years in Detroit before joining the Broncos as an unrestricted free agent in 2012.

However, he was later traded back to the Lions as part of the Broncos moving up in the draft for Shane Ray last year.

The Bears signed Ramirez to a one-year, $965,000 contract back in March.

In 2015, Ramirez appeared in all 16 games for Detroit, and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 4 center out of 39 qualifying players.
