Bears Placing TE Adam Shaheen On Injured Reserve

The Chicago Bears announced that they are placing TE Adam Shaheen on injured reserve due to ankle and foot injuries. However, it is possible Shaheen returns at some point during the 2018 season.

Shaheen, 24, was selected with the No. 45 overall pick by the Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft. He is entering the second year of his four-year rookie contract worth $5,910,516, which included a signing bonus of $2,438,556.

In 2017, Shaheen appeared in 13 games for the Bears and recorded 12 receptions for 127 yards receiving (10.6 YPC) and three touchdowns.
