Bears Planning To Sit Mitch Trubisky Out Another Week, Start Chase Daniel

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Bears are planning to sit QB Mitch Trubisky out of Week 13’s game and give Chase Daniel another start.

Trubisky has been dealing with a shoulder injury and while he managed to practice on Wednesday, indications were that he was likely to miss another week.

Trubisky, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Bears back in 2017. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $29 million contract that included a $19.17 million signing bonus and set to make base salaries of $892,238 and $152,156 over the next two years.

The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Bears to pick up in 2020.

In 2018, Trubisky has appeared in 10 games for the Bears and completed 65.4 percent of his passes for 2,469 yards, 20 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He has also rushed for 363 yards and three touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Trubisky as the news is available.
