Bears Prepared To Get Devin Hester & Kellen Davis More Involved In Their Offense

Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice mentioned that he would like to get WR Devin Hester and TE Kellen Davis more involved in their offense now that they are currently without Alshon Jeffery who suffered a broken hand a few weeks ago.

“We’re going to try to continue to grow his package,” said Tice of Hester’s role in their offense, via CSN Chicago. “His package is going grow by the sheer fact that we lost Alshon this week.

Earl Bennett should also see some more playing time, but the Bears appear to be looking to spread the ball around more while Jeffery is out. Kellen Davis has shown some improvement in recent weeks and figures to see some more targets as well.

Hopefully, his package and his production in the passing game will grow as we move forward,” said Tice regarding Davis’ playing time, via the Chicago Sun-Times. “So we’re liking where he’s going.”
