Bears Promoting TE Ben Braunecker To Active Roster

Adam Caplan reports that the Bears are promoting TE Ben Braunecker to their active roster on Saturday.

Braunecker, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.63 million contract with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard back in May. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later signed to the Bears’ practice squad a few days later.

During his college career at Harvard, Braunecker caught 68 passes for 1,168 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns over the course of 25 games.
