Bears QB Jay Cutler Could Be Back In Week 10?

Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago reports that there is an “increased sense of optimism” that Bears QB Jay Cutler could return to the field before his original timetable of four-six weeks.

Cutler torn a groin muscle against the Redskins back in Week 7. The Team later announced Cutler would miss a “minimum” of four-six weeks, but it now appears as though Cutler could be back in time to play against the Lions in Week 10.

Bears WR Brandon Marshall mentioned that Cutler’s “worse-case scenario” would be to miss one game return in Week 10, which could be a little optimistic on his part, but there is at least a chance of Cutler being available.

Cutler has stated that his goal is to return before the original timetable and appears set on track after having been involved in the team’s five practices leading up to the game at Green Bay. However, the team has already ruled him out for Monday night’s game.

We’ll have more regarding Cutler’s injury throughout the week.
