Bears & Ravens Among At Least 5 Teams To Speak To Jarvis Landry’s Agent About Trade

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN is reporting that the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears are among at least five teams to speak with Jarvis Landry’s agent about a potential trade. However, no deal is considered imminent at this point in time.

Last night, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported that Landry plans to sign his franchise tag worth $16 million fully guaranteed in the coming days. Rapoport added that based on talks with several teams, Landry is being viewed as a No. 1 receiver.

The Dolphins granted Landry and his representation permission to seek out a trade with another team last week and the two parties are working to find him a new team. However, many wonder if the Dolphins will end up rescinding the tag if no trade surfaces over the next few days.

The Bears, Browns, Ravens, Titans and 49ers have all come up as potential destinations for Landry.

Landry, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2014. He’s entering the final year of his four-year, $3.5 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $893,852 for the 2017 season.

In 2017, Landry appeared in 16  games and caught 112 passes for 987 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. He has also contributed 81 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 receiver out of 119 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Landry as the news is available.
