Bears RB Jordan Howard May Have Ankle/Achilles Injury

Bears RB Jordan Howard was asked if he suffered an ankle/Achilles injury as John Fox said.

Nah, I ain’t suffer nothing,” Howard said, per Adam Jahns.

Following Sunday’s loss to the Buccaneers, Bears HC John Fox told reporters that RB Jordan Howard may have sustained either an ankle or an Achilles injury.

They’re  still not 100 percent sure what his injury is or the severity, but he’ll likely undergo more tests tomorrow.

Howard, 22, was taken in the fifth round of this year’s draft by the Bears. He’s currently in the first year of his four-year, $2.588 million contract that includes a base salary of $450,000 for the 2016 season.

Entering today’s game, Howard had rushed for 505 yards on 99 carries (5.1 YPC) and two touchdowns to go along with 18 receptions for 177 yards receiving and a touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 16 running back out of 53 qualifying players.
