Bears RB Matt Forte Bothered By The Loss Of Goal-Line Carries?

Bears RB Matt Forte apparently is not happy with the team’s plan to use Michael Bush as their goal-line back this season, “whether (Matt) Forte likes it or not.”

“It’s been happening my whole career here, so I don’t know,’’ said Forte,  per Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times. “That’s the coordinator’s call.’’

Forte contributed 120 combined yards to go along with a touchdown, but was ultimately replaced by Bush around the goal-line.

Overall, Forte looked like his old self on Sunday, so I’m sure the Bears feel better about their $32 million investment moving forward. The addition of Bush was a clear indication that Forte’s workload was being reduced. He is still a very important part of the Chicago offense, even if he is not receiving the goal-line carries that he once was.
