Bears RB Matt Forte Has Knee Sprain Out 2-6 Weeks

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte suffered a grade 2 MCL sprain during yesterday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

The injury initially looked to be pretty severe but thankfully for him it’s only a sprain. If the injury had been an MCL tear it could have had a huge impact on the amount of money he get’s during free agency. Forte has been great for the Bears this season but contract talks have been put on the back burner after the two sides were unable to come to an agreement early on in the season.

The Bears will now look to Marion Barber and Kahlil Bell to hand the teams running game while Forte is out.
