Exclusive rights free agent QB Connor Shaw announced via his Twitter account Saturday that he’s re-signed with the Bears.

Shaw, unfortunately, suffered a broken leg right above the ankle during a preseason game last year and was placed on injured reserve at the start of the season.

Shaw, 25, wound up signing on with the Browns as an undrafted out of South Carolina last year. He is in the final year of his three-year, $1.53 million rookie contract, which includes a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.

Unfortunately, Shaw’s 2015 season came to an end with him being placed on season-ending injured reserve after he broke the thumb on his throwing hand during the preseason.

The Browns waived Shaw a few months ago before he was claimed by the Bears. Shaw, unfortunately, suffered a broken leg right above the ankle during a preseason game last year and was placed on injured reserve at the start of the season.

In 2014, Shaw wound up appearing in one game and completing 14 of 28 attempts for 177 yards, no touchdowns and an interception.
