The Chicago Bears announced Monday that WR Josh Bellamy has signed his exclusive rights tender.
Bellamy announced last week via his Instagram account that he had signed his exclusive rights tender and was returning to Chicago for the 2016 season.
Bellamy, 26, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in 2012. He spent over a year in Kansas City before brief stints with the Chargers and Redskins.
The Bears wound up claiming him off of waivers from Washington back in April of 2014 and he’s been on an off of their active roster ever since.
In 2015, Bellamy appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and recorded 19 receptions for 224 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 83 receiver out of 121 qualifying players.
