Bears Re-Sign ERFAs WR Josh Bellamy & DB Bryce Callahan

The Chicago Bears officially re-signed exclusive rights free agent WR Josh Bellamy and DB Bryce Callahan on Monday.

Bellamy, 27, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Louisville back in 2012. He had brief stints with the Chargers and Redskins before eventually being claimed off of waivers by the Bears in April of 2014.

Chicago brought Bellamy back on an exclusive rights deal last year.

In 2016, Bellamy caught 19 passes for 282 yards receiving and one touchdown over the course of 16 games.

Callahan, 25, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Rice back in May of 2015. He was waived a few weeks into his rookie season and later signed him to the team’s practice squad before later being called up.

In 2016, Callahan appeared in 11 games for the Bears and recorded 32 tackles, no interceptions, and five pass defenses.
