Bears Re-Sign QB Jimmy Clausen

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bears are re-signing QB Jimmy Clausen

Clausen, 27, was set to be an unrestricted free agent in the coming days, but it appears as though the new Bears regime was comfortable with him being back with the team as their backup quarterback next year.

Chicago signed him to a one-year contract worth $645,000 back in June of last year.

In 2014, Clausen appeared in four games and threw for 223 yards while completing 55.8 percent of his passes to go along with two touchdowns and an interception.

    • I don’t mind the signing as long as the Bears know that Clausen is a backup QB and not a starter. If they dump Cutler they better not think Clausen is the answer.
