Bears Reportedly Worked Out UCLA DE/OLB Anthony Barr Last Month

Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago reports that the Bears traveled to Los Angeles last month to conducted a private workout with UCLA DE/OLB Anthony Barr.

  • Ian Rapoport reported that Barr is working out for the Falcons on Tuesday.

Barr has already met with the Titans, Cowboys, Vikings and Eagles. However, there is some question about his draft stock moving forward.

Former NFL scout John Middlekauff mentioned Monday morning that scouts he has spoken to believe Barr will be taken in the mid-to-late first round.

Coming into the 2013 season, many expected Barr to be a top-five selection, but his senior season didn’t live up to expectations.

There is a chance that concerns surround Barr could lead to him being available to the Bears at No. 14 overall. That’s certainly not out of the realm of possibilities, but there is some question as to whether or not they would be willing to draft a defensive in round one now that they’ve signed veteran DEs Jared Allen and Lamarr Houston this offseason.

Last year, Barr totaled 66 tackles, 20 tackles for a loss, and 10 sacks for the Bruins defense.

We have Titans the taking Barr at No. 11 overall in our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
