Bears S Chris Harris Seeking A Trade

Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com reports that Chris Harris requested to be traded after being benched for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Since the Bears have granted Harris permission to seek his own trade, per Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times.

The only issue is that Harris has very little value on the open market which won’t help to facilitate a deal.

I’ve asked two personnel executives what Bears could get for Chris Harris,Jensen tweeted. “Their answers? Nothing, and 7th rounder. Eek.

There are a number of NFL teams that could use help at safety and the Bears are at the top of that list which is why it’s hard to see a team trading for a safety that can’t even make his way into the starting lineup for a team with as many issues at the position as the Chicago Bears have.

Two speculative options may include the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots.
