Bears Sign C Cornelius Edison & DB Rashaad Reynolds To Practice Squad

The Chicago Bears officially signed C Cornelius Edison and DB Rashaad Reynolds to their practice squad.

The Bears’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. TE Rory Anderson (injured)
  2. RB David Cobb
  3. DB Jacoby Glenn
  4. OT Williams Poehls
  5. G Cyril Richardson
  6. WR Dres Anderson
  7. OT Lawrence Okoye
  8. TE Justin Perillo (Injured)
  9. LB Josh Shirley
  10. DB De’Vante Bausby
  11. C Cornelius Edison
  12. DB Rashaad Reynolds

Edison, 23, originally signed on to the Bears’ practice squad during last season as an undrafted free agent out of Portland State. He was brought back on a future/reserve contract a few months later.

However, the Bears elected to cut Edison loose coming out of the preseason. Edison has been on and off of the Bears’ active roster this season and has appeared in six games.

Reynolds, 25, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon State back in 2014. The Jaguars elected to waive him at the start of the 2015 season but later signed him to their practice squad.

Jacksonville elected to bring Reynolds back on a future/reserve contract in January only to cut him loose this past June. The Lions signed him to a contract soon after but was among their early roster cuts.

He has worked out for the Cowboys and twice for the Bears since becoming a free agent, but was not signed to a contract.

Reynolds has yet to appear in an NFL game.
