The Chicago Bears announced on Saturday that they have signed FB Tony Fiammetta to a two-year contract extension.
Fiammetta, 27, was signed to a one-year deal back in June and has since played in all 15 games for the Bears this season. Fiammetta did not play at all in 2012, so the odds were against him ever securing a multi-year contract.
This year he’s caught four passes for 57 yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 14 qualifying fullback in the league this season.
