Sharpton, 26, was drafted by the Houston Texans in the fourth round of the 2010 Draft.  He spent four productive years with the Texans before signing a one-year deal with the Redskins in March.

Chicago currently has LB D.J. Williams playing inside, and he is backed up by second-year LB Jon Bostic.  The Bears have been looking for special teams help, and Sharpton will most likely be expected to contribute there.

Sharpton appeared in 15 games in 2013, and recorded 87 tackles.
