The Chicago Bears have signed LB Jonathan Anderson to their practice squad, according to Zach Zaidman.
The Bears’ practice squad now consists of:
- LB Jonathan Anderson
- CB Da’Vante Bausby
- WR Daniel Braverman
- TE Ben Braunecker
- FB Paul Kasike
- OL Cornelius Edison
- DB Demontre Hurst
- DE Jimmy Staten
- LB Ronald Powell
- OT Colin Kelly
Anderson, 24, wound up signing on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of TCU back in May of last year. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later added to the team’s practice squad.
The Bears eventually promoted Anderson to their active roster. Unfortunately, Chicago waived Anderson on Tuesday to make room for LB John Timu, who was promoted to the 53-man squad.
In 2016, Anderson has appeared in three games and recorded four tackles for the Bears.
