The Chicago Bears announced Tuesday that they have signed WR/KR Marc Mariani to a two-year contract and placed S Ahmad Dixon on waivers.

Mariani, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the Titans. He spent two years with Tennessee before he was placed on waivers as the Titans’ trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
Mariani, unfortunately, missed the entire 2013 season after he suffered a shoulder injury. He hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2011, so he’ll have to make a solid impression on the Bears to be on their at the start of the 2015 season.
